という文がある。
I would someday go to college.　
の文章は大学にやるという機能を表す。

次のように言い換えることができるであろう。
My paents promoised that they let me go to college.
My parents promised that they make me a college student.
My parent promised to get me go to college.
My parents promised that they forced me go to college.
My parents promised that they have me go to college.
My parents promised that they bring me to college.
My parents promised that they send me to college.
My parents promised that they yield their money to let me go in college.

また次のように言い換えても良いであろう。
My parents promosed that it turn out to be a college student.
My parents promised that I end up a college student.
